For those of you that don't know lip gloss is back in style although they never went out of style for me. For the past couple months matte lips were what everyone was talking about, but most recently its been all about the lip gloss. So much so that even Mr. Christian Louboutin came out with lip glosses this year. Today I am going to share with you the lip glosses that have replaced some of my favorite matte lips for the summer. Most of my favorite lip glosses are nude colors so I apologize if there isn't a huge range of color in my lip gloss collection. So let's get started!

Okay so all my favorite lip glosses are nude shades. I feel like nude glosses are just so universal and look so beautiful on top of any nude lipstick or by itself. The brands I have listed all carry a very wide range of colorful glosses as well. These lip glosses have honestly some of the best formulas I have ever used. It is finally summer! I don't know about you but I am ready for all the fun summer has in store. It's that time of year for beach days, sun rays and lots of fun. We are already getting 90 degree heat here in California so summer has definitely made its entrance. I want to share with you some of the things I have to have during the summer.
Sun Block is a must during this time of year. You want to protect your skin from all damage the sun can do. My favorite brand to use is definitely Hawaiian Tropic. It has 12 hours of luxurious moisture, broad-spectrum UVA and UVB sunscreen, it is recommended by The Skin Cancer Foundation, has a refreshing tropical scent, lightweight feel and water-resistant for up to 80 minutes.
Tanning Lotion for the guys and gals that like to get a little tan during the summer I suggest using my favorite brand Maui Babe. It is made from a secret family formula mixed from natural Hawaiian ingredients, including aloe used by Hawaiians to heal burns of all types. It accelerates the sun triggered tanning processes in your skin, eliminating long torturous hours cultivating your tan. Lip Balm is super important because our lips can in fact get sun burned as well. The last thing you want is for your lips to be dry, cracked, and burned. Sunglasses are something all of us should wear to protect our eyes. In an article I read on Oprah.com it listed the health benefits from wearing sunglasses. A few examples are Cataracts, Macular Degeneration and Pterygium. Not only are the healthy for you to wear but they are also stylish. My favorite brand at the moment is Quay Australia.
Heat Protectant Spray is something we use to protect our hair from our hot tools. Well did you know that the UV Rays are just as bad as a straightener or curling iron? The UV rays can dry out and damage your hair. So spraying a heat protectant in your hair before styling or leaving the house is a must this summer. My favorite is the TRESemme Thermal Creations.
Facial Spray is something I love to use when its a hot outside and your skin just needs a little boost. You can use facial spray on a bare face and even on makeup. Its a nice refresher on these warm summer days. My favorite is Evian Facial Spray.
BB Cream is something I love to wear during the summer because it is light weight and doesn't clog my pores. I like to have something light that covers imperfections. Most BB Creams have some sort of SPF so it protects your face from UV Rays. So it is perfect for the summer. My favorite is Urban Decay's Naked Skin One and Done.
Waterproof Mascara I am throwing this out there because there are some people like myself that like to wear light makeup to the beach, pool, hiking etc. Waterproof mascara is a must so that you don't end up looking like a raccoon. You could just curl your eyelashes for a more natural look but sometimes that is not enough. My favorite at the moment is Too Faced Better Than Sex .
After Sun Lotion is something that I like to have in my fridge so that if I spent a little too much time in the sun and get sun burnt I have to heal my skin. I put my lotion in the fridge so that its cold and has a soothing sensation. My favorite is the Hawaiian Tropic Sheer Touch Ultra Radiance After Sun
FUN is something you have to have during the summer. Do something you love to do with people you love! Go to the beach, concerts in the park, movies on the beach and so much more! Have FUN!
